Oldest natural history museum in Western Canada, the museum has wildlife specimens and a reading room.

The Cave and Basin
Discovered in 1885, this natural pool is a replica of the original bathhouse built in 1886.

Hot Springs
Located within a ten minute drive from the hotel. Naturally heated springs on Sulphur Mountain with outdoor pool heated to a soothing 40ºC (112ºF).

Luxton Museum
Life-size scenes featuring costumes, tipis, travois and ceremonies of the natives of the Northern Plains.

Parks Canada
There are a number of Canada's National Parks located within a short drive of Banff.

Kootenay National Park is a park rich in variety. The diverse terrain ranges from glacier-clad peaks to semi-arid grasslands, where even cactuses grow!
Yoho National Park, located on the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains region, is full of spectacular scenic beauty -- rock walls, crashing waterfalls and soaring peaks.


The Whyte Museum
The Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies Art exhibits, historical displays, research archives and historic homes.

Banff/Lake Louise Winter Festival
