The Management and staff at Sandy Lane have been celebrating the award of the ‘Caribbean ’s Leading Golf Resort ’ which we proudly accepted at the ninth annual World Travel Awards.

Over 250 VIP ’s and travel companies turned out for the event and to witness the giving of these distinguished accolades by Graham Cooke, President and founder of the awards.Michael Davern, General Manager of Sandy Lane Properties & Golf who received the award said ‘Sandy Lane is one of the most exciting golf resorts in the world today, a rare treat to discover.

Our three exceptional courses,the Old Nine,The Country Club and the Green Monkey (the latter two designed by Tom Fazio)are all extensive in the design and the facilities they offer.

Tom Fazio is arguably the number one architect of golf courses in the world. He designed the Country Club course which has five par threes,eight par fours and five par fives with five lakes and wide,open fairways with angled slopes.The Green Monkey course will be completed at the end of this year.

It is carved out of the existing quarry ensuring it is in keeping with its natural environment. This course will offer golfers of all standards a challenging and enjoyable experience ’.
