NEW PASTRY CHEF

We
are very pleased to welcome Josef Teuschel, our
new Executive Pastry Chef.
Josef was born in Austria,a country famed for
its pastry making.
|
He started a formal apprenticeship in a bakery at 15
years old and then studied in Lech in Austria.After
this he chose to work in the Arlberg and Almhof Schneider
Hotels followed by Maison Blanche in Leukerbad, Switzerland.
Josef then began a career with the Four Seasons Hotels
& Resorts based in Toronto. I came to Sandy
Lane and was blown away. I am amazed at the attention
to every small detail, the flavours and presentation
of the foods prepared.
Josef
incorporates as much fresh local produce as he can.
We give the desserts a Caribbean flavour and call
them signature desserts here at Sandy Lane.
