SANDY LANE GOLD CUP
This year’s Sandy Lane Gold Cup, the most prestigious
horse race in the Caribbean, promises to be even bigger
and better.
Scheduled for March 1, 2003 at the Garrison Savannah,
the event has this year attracted entries from Britain,
United States and Canada, along with the Barbadian contingent.
The
Governor General of Barbados will be in attendance and
I am sure 2003 will be another great success.

Each
year the Gold Cup draws thousands of supporters to the Garrison
Savannah for the major sporting event on the Barbados calendar.
The nominees
for this year ’s Gold Cup are Feet on Flames, Foxcote,
Firewon, Hard Dancer, Peace Angel, Peace Envoy, Schiller,
Storm Hunter, Talkaboutlucky, Tosferatu, Violent Storm, Bushy
Park, Pleasant Hall, Warleigh, Zonin and Thady Quill.
