As in previous years, Sonesta Cairo participates again in the “Cairo International Song Festival” in August
...and will present a “Cuban Salsa Festival” from Aug. 26-28th, with performances by “BANDA SAZON” from Havana.
Additionally, plans are now being finalized to open our new “Cafe” in the Lobby during late summer, offering many surprises in a most elegant - yet casual - setting.

Japanese Prime Minister At "Sonesta Hotel Cairo"
During a recent visit to Cairo, to discuss regional developments and promote cooperation between Egypt and Japan, Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and his accompanied delegation chose to stay at the "Royal Club" Floors of "Sonesta Hotel Cairo"prior to the talks held with President Hosni Mubarak.
The picture shows Mr. Mounir Ghabbour, Chairman of Sakkara Hotels, welcoming Japanese Prime Minister, Junichiro Koizumi and his delegation upon their arrival at the Hotel.

"Sonesta Hotel Cairo" hosted a meeting recently, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Electricity and followed by a prestigious Luncheon at the "Royal Lounge" of the luxurious "Royal Club" Floors.

Sonesta Hotels, Resorts & Nile Cruises Egypt General Managers Meeting
Over a recent visit to Egypt, Mr. Felix Madera, Vice President Sonesta International, held a "General Managers Meeting" for all Sonesta Egypt Properties, in conjunction with the Executive Team of Sonesta’s Regional Office in Cairo and attended by the Directors of Sales. The meeting was conducted at the "Ambassador" Meeting-room of "Sonesta Hotel Cairo" and followed by a cocktail reception at the "Royal Suite".
